INDIANAPOLIS – It’s raining at the World’s Greatest Race Course, so the
practice session that was to begin at 8 a.m. is delayed.
It’s not a hard rain – just a light sprinkle. Clouds are clearing and
trucks are out trying to dry the track. I’d be surprised if it’s a complete
washout today, but it’s May in Indianapolis, so …
The fastest speeds of the month often are turned during the morning
practice period. Top speed in practice is 232.672 mph by Will Power on Friday.
Josef Newgarden also was above 232 at 232.344.
